    Amber Nichols: Biography at a Glance

    • Amber Nichols is the General Manager for the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G-League. 
    • She previously worked with the Wizards' front office during NBA and G-League drafts and scouting events before becoming one of the youngest and just the second female general manager in G League history.
    • She oversees all facets of the Go-Go's front office operations, including talent evaluation, player development, roster construction and movement, scheduling, and budgeting. 
    • The former University of Richmond basketball player was recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for her meteoric rise in the sports industry.

    Biography

    Amber Nichols is the General Manager for the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G-League and just the second female General Manager in NBA G League history, paving the way for future generations of women to work in basketball. By the age of 29, Nichols had already served in a variety of roles in the NBA, from ticket sales to basketball operations, and earned the respect and admiration of General Managers and front Offices across the NBA. In her role with the Go-Go, she oversees all facets of the front office operations, including talent evaluation, player development, roster construction and movement, scheduling, and budgeting

    The former University of Richmond player has a keen eye for basketball talent and has been at the forefront of the Go-Go’s ability to place players in the NBA, where players earned seven NBA call ups in the team’s first two seasons, the second-most in the league.
