Biography

Leyna Bloom is an actress, model, dancer and activist. She first gained notoriety in the New York City ballroom community for her contributions to the House of Miyake-Mugler. In 2017, she made headlines for being one of the few openly transgender models to walk the runway during New York Fashion Week and became the first transgender woman of color to appear in Vogue India. In 2018, she was cast in Jeremy Scott’s H&M x Jeremy Scott international campaign shot by fashion photographer Steven Meisel and named by Glamour as one of the "6 Women Who Are Shaping The Future of Fashion.” In 2019, Leyna was the only transgender model to walk the runway at Paris Fashion Week for Tommy Hilfiger x Zendaya’s Fall/Winter collection. Leyna recently made her acting debut in Danielle Lessovitz’s PORT AUTHORITY which premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.
