Luke Kuechly is a linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. He was drafted ninth overall by the Panthers in the 2012. In his rookie season, he led the NFL in tackles and won the Associated Press 2012 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, becoming the the third youngest recipient of the award. In his second season, Kuechly was named the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year and became the youngest recipient of the award.

In 2015, Kuechly led the Panthers to Superbowl 50, where they were defeated by the Denver Broncos 10 - 24. Kuechly was the first player in NFL history with a pick-six in consecutive playoff games and he led the NFL with the most tackles in 2012 and 2014. Kuechly was named to his fourth straight Pro Bowl in 2017. He was selected to the NFL All-Pro First Team in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and the All-Pro Second Team in 2016.

For the Panthers, Kuechly holds the franchise record for the most tackles in a game and career in the playoffs. As a rookie, he set the Panthers team record for number of tackles.

Kuechly was a two-time All American at Boston College.

In his free time, Kuechly participates in charitable work and is a spokesperson for Project Life, which registers college students for bone marrow.
