Mike Posner: Unlocking Possibility & Finding Presencearrow-down

After achieving my goals in the music industry, I felt trapped under the weight of my own life. So I made a decision: to Walk Across America.

After walking 6 months and 3 days, 2,851 miles, and almost dying from a poisonous rattle snake bite, I dove into the Pacific Ocean.

I thought I’d feel accomplished. But the feeling of those waves washed over me wasn’t accomplishment. It was possibility.

Two weeks after, I starting training for my next goal: to climb Mount Everest. Over the next 18 months, I climbed 71 mountains in preparation and then took a plane to the Nepal where the hardest mountain was waiting for me. On June 1st at 4:35AM, with my mind and body teetering upon exhaustion, I flopped onto the summit of Mount Everest, the highest point on planet Earth.

My next goal isn’t to walk across another country or climb another mountain. It’s to share the wealth of lessons that I’ve learned along the way on these adventures and my time in the music industry.
