Biography

An award-winning multi-hyphenate, Aisha is an influential actor, director, host, comedian, activist, author, and entrepreneur. She has voiced the character of “Lana” for 11 seasons on FXX's Emmy Award-winning animated series, Archer, and is currently recording season 12. The upcoming Disney+ series, Monsters at Work, will feature Aisha's voice talents, as well.

Aisha was a series regular on CBS' Ghost Whisperer, and had notable arcs on ABC’s popular comedy, Modern Family, as well as NBC's iconic Friends. She has been a series regular on Criminal Minds since 2015, and also directed episodes of the CBS staple. Aisha continued her work as a director on The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico, and on AMC's Fear The Walking Dead. In 2017, she also directed her own award-winning action thriller feature film, AXIS, and will next direct the female-led thriller, DAMAGE, for legendary producer Irwin Winkler.

Aisha has hosted The CW’s reboot of ABC's hit improvisational comedy show, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, since 2013 and contributed to the network’s highest unscripted debut in five years at its outset. She helped define the vastly successful CBS show, TheTalk, and throughout her tenure there, Aisha was known for being expressive and outspoken about important topics close to her heart, including African-American culture and stereotypes, as well as LGBTQ+ and women's rights.

This past year, she hosted her own show for AMC called PrimeRewind, an after-show for the successful series, The Boys, while adding entrepreneur to her résumé, as well. Aisha is a long time cocktail enthusiast and launched a ready-to-drink cocktail company last spring, by the name of Courage+Stone, formulating the flavor profiles herself. The company grew over 600% in the first months of the coronavirus shutdown and currently features two cocktails: The Classic Manhattan and The Classic Old Fashioned.
