Biography

Brett Gelman is a dynamic actor whose signature intensity and fearlessness enable him to effortlessly navigate both comedy and drama. Brett can currently be seen in the Columbia Pictures feature film, Lyle Lyle Crocodile opposite Javier Bardem, and in season 4 of the mega-hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, reprising his role as the eclectic conspiracy theorist “Murray.”

Last year he appeared in the Paramount for Amazon feature Without Remorse opposite Michael B. Jordan and Jodie Turner-Smith. Brett can also be seen in a major arc in the third season of David E. Kelley’s critically acclaimed Audience Network show, Mr. Mercedes, opposite Brendan Gleeson and Holland Taylor. He also plays the deliciously loathsome brother-in-law to Phoebe Waller-Bridge's titular ‘Fleabag’ in the Emmy Award-winning Amazon series. Previously, he can be seen on HBO’s Camping opposite Jennifer Garner, David Tennant, and Juliette Lewis and as Dr. Greg in Judd Apatow's critically acclaimed series, Love, as well as a series of Adult Swim specials and in the relaunch of David Lynch’s hit show, Twin Peaks, on Showtime.

In features, Brett starred in Lemon, which he also co-wrote with director Janicza Bravo. The film premiered to rave reviews at Sundance Film Festival and opened the Rotterdam International Film Festival the same year. Other feature work includes the indie Wild Nights With Emily opposite Molly Shannon as well as studio comedies Like Father (Netflix), The Other Guys (Sony/Columbia), and 30 Minutes Or Less (Sony/Columbia). Additional notable credits include the FX comedy Married opposite Nat Faxon and Judy Greer, Comedy Central’s Another Period, Starz’s Blunt Talk opposite Patrick Stewart, and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
