Biography

Former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky joined ESPN in 2018, serving as an analyst for college football and NFL coverage. In addition to his role, he is a regular contributor on Get Up! throughout the football season. He hosts his own podcast, Backup Plan Pod with Dan Orlovsky. Prior to his work at ESPN, Orlovsky has been seen on Good Morning Football on NFL Network, The MMQB Podcast, and NBC Sports Philadelphia. Orlovsky has gained a loyal following from the regular videos he posts to Twitter breaking down relevant football plays. Orlovsky has also contributed to The Players' Tribune and The Athletic. 

Orlovsky’s expansive football knowledge comes from playing 13 seasons in the NFL on 5 teams, with 7 head coaches, and 9 offensive schemes. He recently attended Broadcast Bootcamp where he was often referred to as a future star. Originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, Orlovsky played college football at the University of Connecticut.
