Biography
David Korins is the award-winning Creative Director, Designer and Founder of his eponymous New York City based creative suite. But he does more than just create sets: he creates worlds. His work has brought to life stories for Kanye West, Lady Gaga, and Elton John, as well as for critically acclaimed Broadway shows such as Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and Beetlejuice. In his two decades of creating holistic experiences, he has reached tens of millions of people all over the world while helping the most influential brands, companies, and individuals bring their stories to life.
As one of the leading set designers working today, David’s unique approach to storytelling has shaped the way audiences everywhere experience performance. His work crosses disciplines and industries, from concerts to television and Broadway, and his innovative designs have earned him three Tony Award nominations in addition to Emmy and Obie Awards.
David is currently represented on Broadway with three shows, having created the worlds for the Tony Award-winning musicals Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, and Beetlejuice: The Musical. Among numerous TV credits, David is the Production Designer for the 91st Annual Academy Awards and Grease: Live!, for which he received an Emmy Award. He also served as the Creative Director and Partner in Hamilton: The Exhibition. Other collaborators include Bruno Mars, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, and presented at venues such as Madison Square Garden, Gagosian, and Sotheby’s.
