Content Creator, Women’s Rights Advocate, Podcast Host, and New York Times Bestselling Author
Drew Afualo is a content creator, women’s rights advocate, podcast host and New York Times bestselling author best known as TikTok’s “Crusader for Women.” From her hilariously witty content to her no-BS approach to shoveling misogyny out of the TikTok app via viral takedowns, Drew takes female empowerment to new levels. With an audience of over nine million on social media, Drew has established herself as a preeminent feminist leader of her generation.
Raised amongst several strong feminist figures in her life, Drew learned the power of standing up for herself from a young age. After joining TikTok in 2019, Drew quickly realized how rife the platform was with sexist content aimed at putting down women, but it didn’t take long for Drew to become the app's unofficial watchdog for misogyny and sexism. Her signature laugh is now recognized as a feminist call to arms, a summoning cry to rid the internet (and our hearts, minds, and lives) of “terrible men” and create a space to fight outdated patriarchal ideals. Drew’s mission is to empower her audience with the confidence to stand up for themselves and reclaim their power.
As one of today’s leading creators, Drew has earned the titles of Adweek’s Digital & Tech Creator of the Year, Meta’s Creator of Tomorrow, one of Time Magazine’s Next Generation Leaders, and one of Forbes’ Top Creators of 2023. Drew's success has earned her recognition in multiple publications, including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, NYLON, Refinery 29, Teen Vogue, Rolling Stone, and more.
Beyond creating content on social media, Drew has launched two hit podcasts: her hit Spotify-exclusive show The Comment Section, and Two Idiot Girls, a podcast she co-hosts with her sister Deison Afualo. Drew has also served as host and correspondent at major red carpets, including studio film premieres and the 2023 Academy Awards. Most recently, Drew published her New York Times bestselling book, LOUD: Accept Nothing Less Than the Life You Deserve, via AUWA Books. Part manual, part manifesto, and part memoir, LOUD demonstrates that behind Drew’s fearsome laugh is a mission and a life philosophy, a strategy for self-confidence from the inside out, and a pathway to once and for all remove men from the center of how women and fems think about themselves.
Drew is a proud Samoan who often spotlights her heritage and uplifts others in the AAPI community.
