Biography

Harry Connick, Jr. has exemplified excellence in every aspect of the entertainment world. He has received recognition with multiple Grammy and Emmy Awards as well as Tony nominations for his live and recorded musical performances, his achievements on screen, and his appearances on Broadway as an actor and composer. He also earned an induction into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame, sales of over 28 million albums, a Christmas album, and a slew of rave reviews.

He was born and raised in his beloved New Orleans, LA which, has become the foundation of his musical style. Harry began performing as a pianist and singer at the young age of five. Eventually moving to New York, he was equipped with a precocious command of jazz and popular music styles.

With the pandemic casting a long shadow in 2020, Harry retreated to his home studio during the lockdown and emerged with an album of songs of faith and inspiration, Alone With My Faith. Harry wrote and arranged many of the songs, played every instrument, and sang every part. Both the album cover and the music videos for “Amazing Grace” and "Alone With My Faith" were conceived and directed by Harry’s daughter Georgia Connick.

Harry has become a go-to artist for important events including performances at Pope Benedict XVI’s Yankee Stadium mass, the NBA All-Star Game held in New Orleans (where he served as musical director), and the National Anthem at Super Bowl XXVI.
