Biography

Jenna Lyons is a creative entrepreneur and media personality. While President and Executive Creative Director of J.Crew Group, Lyons was widely recognized as the creative force behind the American retail chain’s phenomenal rise from a floundering catalog chain to one of the most coveted fashion brands in the US with cult status cachet. Appointed to creative director in 2008, and then president in 2010, Lyons has overseen the brand's successful image overhaul in its stores, photography, brand collaborations, and clothing designs. This all culminated with J.Crew's showing at New York Fashion Week. Championed by the likes of Michelle Obama and Anna Wintour, J.Crew reported revenues of over $2.2 billion in 2013.

An alumnus of Parsons New School of Design where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Lyons undertook an internship at Donna Karen before joining J.Crew’s creative design team as a junior designer in 1990. In 2003, after a steady ascension to vice president of women’s design, Lyons, under the direction of newly appointed CEO Mickey Drexler, began seeking a new design direction for the floundering store, bringing in new styles and re-shaping the brand identity through collaborations. She stepped down from the J.Crew helm in April 2017, exiting after 27 years with the specialty retailer.

A style icon in her own right, Lyons is regularly featured in magazines such as Vanity Fair, Glamour, and The New York Times. She has also graced the cover of numerous magazines including Fast Company, Madame Figaro, and Domino, highlighting her eclectic mix and dark frame glasses. Lyons was also featured in Time Magazine’s list of "100 Most Influential People" and was dubbed as “The Woman Who Dresses America.”

Jenna is now Co-Founder and CEO of direct-to-consumer beauty brand, LoveSeen. A creative agent at large; Jenna is an interior designer and consultant for The Expert and most recently has joined the all-new cast of Bravo’s hit show, The Real Housewives of New York City, where she garnered the nickname JFL (Jenna "Fucking" Lyons). She currently resides in Soho with her son Beckett.
