Biography

Krysten Ritter is an actress, author, producer, director, mommy and an avid knitter and crocheter. Krysten is perhaps best know as Jessica Jones in the Peabody, Hugo, and Emmy Award winning Netflix original series, Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Her performance, which earned her a prestigious Critics Choice nomination, multiple Saturn nominations, a Webby Award and Glamour Best International TV Actress Award and received rave reviews with her performance being celebrated by critics and audiences alike. This is also where she made her directorial debut directing episode 302 entitled "A.K.A. Your Welcome”.

On the producing front Krysten’s company SILENT MACHINE, has several projects in various states of development  - next up is the Untitled Krysten Ritter Project which will see Krysten starring, Executive Producing and directing an episode - the Universal produced project sold in a competitive bidding war landing a straight to series deal at Netflix. Past producing credits include “Demons of Dorian Gun” for the POP Network and JAX Media. “Mission Control” with Gary Sanchez productions for UNI/NBC,  “Assistance” for UNI/NBC from director Leslye Headland, as well as the MTV pilot “Cassandra French’s Finishing School for Boys” written by Eric Garcia among others.  She also co-wrote, starred and produced the indie film “Life Happens” which premiered at the LA Film Festival and was a selection at the Tribeca Film Festival and was distributed by Universal.
