Rose Byrne is an Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actress who continues to captivate audiences with her tremendously diverse body of work. Byrne is widely known for her role as “Ellen Parsons” in Damages, opposite Glenn Close. The series, created by Daniel Zelman, Glenn Kessler, and Todd Kessler, ran for five seasons, garnering Byrne two Golden Globe nominations and one Emmy nomination for her portrayal. She is also known for her role in the Paul Feig-directed comedy, Bridesmaids, alongside Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Melissa McCarthy. The film was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Comedy and Musical and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.   

Byrne stars in Mary Bronstein’s If I Had Legs I'd Kick You opposite A$AP Rock, Helen Hong, and Ella Beatty. The film follows a Long Island-based therapist and mother, “Linda” (Byrne), as she navigates her way through an emotional minefield as her life comes crashing down around her. The film is set to be distributed by A24 and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.  

Also upcoming, Byrne is set to star in Stephanie Laing’s comedy-drama Tow opposite Dominic Sessa, Ariana DeBose, Octavia Spencer, Demi Lovato, and Simon Rex. The film follows the true story of Amanda Ogle, an unhoused Seattle woman who fought her way out of tow-company hell to reclaim her life and the car that held it all together after receiving a tow bill for $21,634. With a screenplay by Jonathan Keasey, Brant Boivin, and Annie Weisman, the project marks a reteaming for Byrne, Weisman, and Laing, who previously collaborated on Apple TV’s Physical. Byrne also serves as a producer on the film.   

Byrne wrapped production of the second season of Apple TV+ Original comedy series Platonic , starring opposite Seth Rogen and Byrne also serves as an executive producer. The series follows former childhood best friends who reconnect as adults and try to get past the rift that led to their falling out.  

Byrne is set to star in Peacock's limited series The Good Daughter opposite Meghann Fahy. The series, which is based on a novel by Karin Slaughter, follows sisters “Samantha” (Byrne) and “Charlotte” (Fahy) who have spent the last twenty-eight years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence. Byrne will also serve as an executive producer on the series.    

On television, Byrne starred in the third and final season of the Apple TV+ Original comedy-drama series Physical, for which she also served as an executive producer. The series follows “Sheila” (Byrne), a woman struggling in her life as a quietly tortured housewife in a 1980s Southern California beach community before finding herself on an unconventional path to power in the world of jazzercize aerobics.
