She has reported on the front lines of some of the most important stories of our time, including the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, where she spoke with local officials, students, and family members in the days immediately following. Vossoughian also traveled to Buffalo to cover the supermarket mass shooting and Washington, D.C., for her award-winning coverage from the front steps during the attack on the Capitol on January 6th and outside of the Supreme Court following the leaked possibility of overturning Roe v. Wade.

Prior to joining MSNBC, she was an anchor for The Daily Share on HLN, a show that looked at the top stories on the internet and how they were playing out online. From the Benghazi hearings to the election of Donald Trump, she was at the center of it all.

Earlier, Vossoughian served as a reporter for the local New York City cable news channel NY1. Her accomplishments include on-site coverage of Hurricane Sandy's devastation and as one of the first reporting teams to broadcast from the severely hit borough of Staten Island.

Vossoughian’s entry into journalism was as a world news correspondent at the Gallup World Poll. In that role, she interviewed leaders from across the globe, including Madeleine Albright in Qatar, Newt Gingrich in Washington, D.C., young West African victims of HIV/AIDS and malaria, Palestinian youth in the West Bank, and Israeli government officials.

In 2005, she became a correspondent for Al Gore's newly launched Current TV and the following year received a Cine Golden Eagle Award for her work in Iran on Iranian youth culture.
