Biography

Brian stars as his Critics Choice Award-nominated character, "Alfred 'Paper Boi' Miles" on the Peabody and Emmy-Award winning FX show, Atlanta, created and written by Donald Glover. On the film front, he was in Marvel Studios' Eternals, the critically acclaimed Barry Jenkins film, If Beale Street Could Talk, as well as the Academy Award-winning animated film, Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse. Additionally, he was on Broadway in Kenneth Lonergan’s critically-acclaimed play Lobby Hero, alongside Chris Evans and Michael Cera, for which he was nominated for a Tony, Drama League, and Drama Desk award. In 2017, he guest-starred as “Ricky” on NBC’s Golden Globe and Emmy nominated drama This Is Us, for which he earned an Emmy nomination.

He can be seen in several other films from such as the critically lauded Steve McQueen’s Widows opposite Viola Davis, Hotel Artemis with Jodie Foster and Sterling K. Brown, White Boy Rick co-starring Matthew McConaughey, and the romantic drama Irreplaceable You with Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
