Biography

Hannah Waddingham stars as “Rebecca Welton” opposite Jason Sudeikis in the award-winning Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso, for which she won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, the 2021 Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, and received a TCA Award nomination for Individual Comedy Achievement. Waddingham also recurs on the critically acclaimed Netflix comedy series Sex Education. Waddingham originally entered into pop culture glory as the Shame Nun, “Septa Unella” in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Additional television credits include “Magdalena” in SyFy’s 12 Monkeys, “Dr. Stone” in the BBC drama In the Club, and “Jax Ur” in Krypton. She also had a starring role in BBC2’s The Entire Universe.  

Hannah has a huge following from her work on stage which has garnered her three Olivier nominations for leading roles in the West End including originating “Lady of the Lake” in Spamalot, “Lilli Vanessi/Katharine” in Kiss Me Kate, and “Desiree” in A Little Night Music.
