Biography

Henry Golding is a dynamic and versatile cinematic leading man playing roles as diverse as this summer's theatrical reboot of the G.I. Joe action franchise with Snake Eyes after exploding onto the film scene in 2018’s Blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians.  Golding is returning to the “thinking man’s action hero” as he is currently filming Untitled Assassin’s Club opposite Noomi Rapace and Sam Neil.  Returning to the action genre Golding stars and is producing the action thriller.

Golding has built a diverse film repertoire by exploring diverse roles diving into a dark and mysterious murder suspect in Paul Fieg’s Simple Favor opposite Anna Kendrick, an LGBT Vietnamese man in search of himself the BBC’s critical darling Monsoon directed by Hong Khao. Taking a step further into working British iconic filmmakers Golding took a radical step in portraying "Dry Eye" a ruthless gangster in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen opposite Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant and joined legend Emma Thompson with her enchanting original project based on George Michael’s song Last Christmas. In re-teaming with director Paul Fieg playing a quirky bike messenger opposite Emilia Clark in Last Christmas and once again showed his incredible range to move from drama to comedy and currently effortlessly heading into the action arena.

Once again showing his Moving into the action-adventure space Henry Golding’s Snake Eyes brings an intense, thrilling, and emotional core to the origin’s story of the fan-favorite and iconic character in Hasbro's G.I. Joe Universe. Golding continues to work with Hollywood’s elite with Robert Schwencke (Netflix’s The Captain) and producer Lorenzo DiBoneventura (Transformers) in this summer's theatrical release of Snake Eyes with international stars Andrew Kojo (Warriors), Ursula Cobera (Money Heist), and Samira Weaving.

In 2021, Golding Long House productions signed on to a producing deal with SK Global (Crazy Rich Asians, Amazon’s Palmer) to develop and produce material with an eye to a Global platform utilizing Golding's unique relationship with producers, directors, and studios around the world.

Well-deserved recognition includes the celebrated GQ Man of the Year (the first Asian actor to grace the coveted cover), Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch, and a myriad of declarations including from Esquire, Vanity Fair, Vogue, along with recognition globally. 2019 brought on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Hollywood issue, W’s “Next Big Thing” spring cover, and the highly coveted “Male Star of Tomorrow Award” at CinemaCon.

Golding’s entrance to the entertainment industry began with various stints as a travel journalist for programs on notable outlets such as the BBC and the Discovery Channel. Golding is of Malaysian and British descent.
