Biography

Former Navy SEAL and Author Jack Carr served in Naval Special Warfare from 1997-2016 with seven overseas deployments including stops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. He has led special operations teams as a Team Leader, Platoon Commander, Troop Commander, Task Unit Commander, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer. His first novel, The Terminal List, is a political/military thriller about a Navy SEAL and his attempt at avenging the deaths of his teammates and family, which he discovers the U.S. government is behind. Its success spawned the sequel, True Believer, and his latest novel in the series: Savage Son. The Terminal List was also adapted into a show for Amazon Prime, starring Chris Pratt and Constance Wu.

A sought-after consultant in the outdoor and tactical industries, Carr speaks regularly on leadership and team building to businesses across industries. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare he transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper specializing in communications and intelligence to a junior officer leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was then a platoon commander practicing counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines and commanded a Special Operations Task Unit in the most Iranian-influenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of U.S. Forces.
