Jamie Lee Curtis is an actress with starring roles in such acclaimed films as Freaky Friday, True Lies, Trading Places and A Fish Called Wanda.
Curtis co-starred opposite Richard Lewis in the sitcom Anything But Love, as well as the title role in TNT’s adaptation of Wendy Wasserstein’s play, The Heidi Chronicles, and the CBS telefilm Nicholas’ Gift, which she earned an Emmy nomination for. She recently appeared as "Dr. Samantha Ryan" on NCIS and proudly played one of the plaintiffs, "Sandy Stier," in 8 the play by Dustin Lance Black about the 2010 federal court case against Proposition 8. She is currently starring on Fox’s new hit series Scream Queens. She received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of ‘Dean Cathy Munsch.’
Curtis is also an author of best-selling children’s books, having sold over five million books under the banner Books To Grow By: Today I Feel Silly, It’s Hard To Be Five, Tell Me Again About The Night I Was Born, I’m Gonna Like Me, When I Was Little, A Four-Year-Old’s Memoir of Her Youth. She published her 10th book entitled My Brave Year of Firsts: Tries, Sighs and High Fives in 2012.
Curtis has a deep and active connection to many children’s charities. Curtis is a recovering alcoholic and addict and was honored to have served on the Board of Directors of CASA (The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University) and The Scott Hitt Foundation. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
