Mari's career as an artist began when she was going through a season of grief and loss in 2016 and needed a new fun form of self-expression to lift her up. She decided to make one drawing a day for a year and put up her work on Instagram to keep herself accountable. Mari's audience quickly grew to over 1 million followers, and she has continued sharing her artwork for over 5 years.
