Biography

Dr. Jacqueline Walters is changing the world. As a prominent physician, Dr. Jackie (as she is affectionately known) is gaining major acclaim and public notoriety as a national expert on women’s health, a strategic philanthropist and a rising television star.

Dr. Jackie graduated from the University of Mississippi and Alcorn State University earning dual Bachelor of Science degrees. She later earned her medical degree from the University Of Mississippi School Of Medicine. In 1997, Dr. Jackie completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Medical Center of Central Georgia and Mercer University. After residency, she started in private practice where she also became affiliated with Northside Hospital in Atlanta. She has remained in private practice for 18 years.

As a nationally celebrated board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr. Jackie’s high profile clientele consists of The Braxton’s, rapper TI, and superstar Usher. In her practice, Dr. Jackie merges traditional and steadfast medicine along with a cutting-edge method that focuses on the mind, body and spirit. Her patient-focused approach and compassionate care to a diverse population of patients have afforded her recognition as a premiere medical specialist in her field.

Being a two-time breast cancer survivor, Dr. Jackie understands the effects of personal health challenges. As a dedicated teacher, she has assimilated a Women’s Wellness Program into her practice to help eradicate the increasing number of heart disease cases amongst women. In 2013, Dr. Jackie founded the 50 Shades of Pink Foundation, an organization that pays tribute to women and men diagnosed with breast cancer, nurturing their psychological and physical well-being. The charity’s mission is to treat the inner and outer beauty of breast cancer survivors. It hosts an annual fundraising luncheon in October that allows the foundation to further awareness through gifting, sponsorship of various health initiatives and family workshops.

In 2013, Dr. Jackie also burst onto the small screen as one of stars of Bravo’s hit reality series Married to Medicine where the esteemed practitioner earned legions of fans for her distinct style, sense of reason, sincere compassion and unrivaled elegance. Dr. Jackie has proved to be an important influence on the show, using the platform to display a positive and successful female image while raising awareness on the health issues that people must face each and everyday.
