With a triumphant artistic career spanning nearly two decades, Luis Fonsi is one of the greatest exponents of Latin music and mainstream pop’s breakout star of the year.

From his first record production in the late 90s, “Comenzare”, to his recent worldwide anthem, “Despacito”, Fonsi has broken sales records and positioned himself at the forefront of the music industry thanks to his impressive interpretive quality and talent as a performer, composer, and producer. His music crosses borders with ease and he’s conquered millions of fans selling out concerts everywhere from his native Puerto Rico to Spain, Chile, the States and countless other markets.

He’s released numerous multiple-platinum albums in the U.S., South America, and Europe and has brought home some of the highest recognition in the industry. In addition to penning some of the most beloved songs in Latin music, Fonsi has served as a spokesperson for St. Jude Hospital’s Thanks and Giving Campaign since 2009.

The first song from his ninth album, “Despacito”, has become a global hit and is the first Spanish-language song in twenty years to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the first to reach #1 on the Spotify Global Chart, and is now Spotify’s highest-charting Spanish record ever. The song has also been ranked #1 in over 50 countries and is only the second video on YouTube to top one billion views, with more than 6.6 billion views since its debut in January.

Fonsi's also released "Échame La Culpa” featuring Grammy nominee and global superstar Demi Lovato which debuted at # 1 on Billboard’s Latin Digital Songs and YouTube’s Global chart, # 2 on Spotify’s “Viral 50” chart and #3 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Song.  Following that his single "Calypso" with Stefflon Don garnered 45 million views in its first week.

In the midst of the quarantine and social distancing, Fonsi is focusing on his health, spending time with his family, and staying creative with his newest single "Girasoles".  A song that was written to motivate people who are saddened by their isolation due to COVID 19.  "Girasoles," was recorded completely at home and had more than 1.8 million views on YouTube in its first week.
